I thought Confucianism was widespread there, because they celebrate his birthday as Teachers’ Day, and they have the ying yang on their national flag. But the beliefs in nature spirits of shamanism runs much deeper in Korean society, than the philosophies of Confucius and Buddha. I went to a ceremony where they burned the moon’s house, and celebrated with a glass of “goryangju.” That way I got to understand what makes Korea so unique from both China and Japan, and both countries have occupied the Korean Peninsula.

Comment on Korea Changes E2 Visa Process: FBI Background Check How To by Jessica http://www.koreahow.com/2010/12/korea-changes-e2-visa-process-fbi-background-check-how-to/#comment-904 Wed, 11 Apr 2012 11:35:27 +0000 http://www.thenomadwithin.com/?p=633#comment-904 Hi there,
I am in Korea, and have an FBI background check on file. I am looking to renew my visa with the same school. I have not been out of the country since getting my visa, and need it renewed in about a month. What do I need to renew it? My school wants to send me to Japan, but I told them I think I might just need a Korean background check. Anyway, how do I renew my visa? My school is new at this too and is very unsure. Thanks!

Thanks for explaining HDR. I didn’t understand how photographers made the image so saturated with colors and contrast. Now, I know.

What did you do for two years in Korea? I’m an English teacher. I will finish my stay here soon.
